Bobby Bowry’s journey into professional football is anything but conventional. Having been overlooked by the traditional academy system, Bobby was spotted playing on the Market Road pitches in North London at the age of 19. Within months, he was playing Premier League football for Crystal Palace — a remarkable rise that shaped his belief that talent can emerge anywhere when given the right opportunity.

Following a successful professional playing career, Bobby has dedicated himself to developing the next generation of footballers. As the driving force behind Volenti Academy’s coaching philosophy, he has helped over 100 young players progress into professional club academies, with former players now competing professionally and semi-professionally across the UK and Europe.

What sets Bobby apart is his extraordinary work ethic and infectious passion for football. Whether coaching a senior international player or a six-year-old taking their first steps in the game, he brings exactly the same enthusiasm, attention to detail and determination to help every individual improve.

Having experienced football as a professional player, coach and parent, Bobby understands both the opportunities and challenges facing young footballers today. His commitment goes beyond developing technical ability; he is passionate about building confidence, character and a genuine love of the game, ensuring every player has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
