Croydon Academy U6-U9

Volenti Academy provides elite-level football coaching for U6–U9 boys and girls who love the game and want to develop their ability. Led by former Premier League player Bobby Bowry and our experienced coaching team, the programme combines focused technical training with an encouraging, challenging environment. Players can choose to attend on Monday or Friday evenings at Coombe Wood School 3G in South Croydon, with additional coaching alongside their club football.

We place a strong emphasis on technique, helping players become more comfortable and confident with the ball. Sessions cover close control, dribbling, passing, receiving and finishing, with coaches demonstrating and correcting technique as players work.

Players then put this into practice through competitive exercises and games. We encourage them to use both feet, recognise space and make their own decisions. The training is demanding and enjoyable, giving children the opportunity to challenge themselves alongside other players who share their enthusiasm for football.

Volenti complements your child’s club football. They continue training and playing with their team while coming to us for additional work on their individual game.

Our coaching team brings experience from playing and coaching in professional football, adapted to the needs of younger players. On Coombe Wood School’s 3G pitch, children have the opportunity to practise regularly, receive feedback and develop skills they can take back into their club matches.
