Now part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, Coombe Wood School offers high-quality education, exceptional facilities, and a structured pathway to higher education, scholarships, and careers - on and off the pitch.

Competing in the NFYL South Premier (Highest-profile league outside the professional game) We partner with Merstham FC in the FA Youth Cup, where we made one of the most successful runs ever by a non-professional team, reaching the 4th Round Proper where we played Chelsea U18s. This incredible achievement showcases our ability to compete at the highest level and gain real exposure to professional clubs.

We have direct access to professional clubs across England and Europe, providing genuine opportunities for players to pursue a career in professional football. While only a few will progress into the pro game, every student is given a clear pathway beyond sixth form, with options including university, USA soccer scholarships, professional and semi-professional football, and employment opportunities within the sports industry.

Coombe Wood School has a strong track record of academic success. In 2024, 78% of our students progressed to university, well above the national average of 36.4%, highlighting the school’s commitment to education and future career pathways.

Beyond the pitch, we offer life-changing experiences, having taken over 100 students on fully funded Turing Scheme placements to India, Spain, and Cyprus.
